Brunnadern is a small, cosmopolitan municipality with 900 inhabitants and is idyllically situated at the foot of the Wasserfluh in the Neckertal which belongs to the Toggenburg. The 6.66 square km large municipality lies at 654 meters above sea level in an especially nice natural landscape at the Necker, a clean and fish-rich river which
flows at Ganterschwil into the Thur. This situation invites wonderful wanderings on a well marked and maintained footpath network, with marvellous views, e.g., the Alpstein and the surrounding municipalities.
